WORKSTEPS

Preparation

The product, room, and floor temperatures should be between 15 and 30°C. Wood humidity should not exceed 12%. Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. The wood must be freshly sanded; use 100-120 grit sandpaper for final sanding. Vacuum thoroughly. Clean the wood with WOCA Intensive Wood Cleaner and let it dry for at least 8 hours before applying the oil. Always remember to test on a less visible area to verify the wood's compatibility with the product.

Final sanding

Grain 100-120.

Treatment

Shake the Master Colour Oil container well both before and after use. Mix containers with different batch numbers to avoid color differences. Apply an even coat of oil using a short-haired paint roller (4-6 mm). Work on small areas no larger than 10 m2 at a time. Allow the oil to penetrate for 10-20 minutes. If the oil is quickly absorbed by the wood, apply more oil. Rub the oil into the wood until the surface looks saturated. Use a polishing machine with a beige pad for large areas and a polishing cloth/pad for small areas. Remove excess oil with lint-free cotton cloths or pads until the surface is no longer wet. Continue until the entire area has been polished and the excess oil is thoroughly removed. To ensure good saturation, the surface should be re-polished with 1 L of Master Colour Oil per 10 m2 within 6-12 hours after the first application. Buff the oil thoroughly as described above.

Note

Do not expose the surface to water or clean it for the first 7 days while the oil is hardening. After 7 days, the floor can be cleaned with WOCA Natural Soap, which provides additional protection.

Drying time

12-24 hours at 20°C.

Complete hardening

5-7 days at 20°C and 55% humidity.
